Dieser locker hingeworfene Satz fasst treffend das vergangene Jahr zusammen. Es war f\u00fcr mich als Weinbauer ein schwieriges Jahr, das kann man wohl sagen. Der trockene und kalte Winter hat zu den st\u00e4rksten Wintersch\u00e4den gef\u00fchrt, die ich bis jetzt erlebt habe. Zahlreiche alte Chardonnay- und Rul\u00e4nderreben am Ogeaner und Klausner erwachten nicht mehr aus dem Winterschlaf. Bei den meisten davon gab es auch keine Austriebe an der Basis, sogenannte Martitschen, mit welchen man in ein bis zwei Jahren einen neuen Stock aufbauen kann; sie mussten mit Jungreben aufwendig ersetzt werden. <\/p>\n

Questa frase buttata l\u00ec, rispecchia nonostante la sua incompletezza l’annata scorsa. Per me come vignaiolo era un’annata difficile, di sicuro. L’inverno freddo e secco ha provocato i peggiori danni che io abbia visto finora. Tanti ceppi vecchi di Chardonnay e Pinot grigio nei vigneti Ogeaner e Klausner non si sono pi\u00f9 risvegliati in primavera. Nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi le viti non hanno neanche ricacciato dal basso ma dovevano essere sostituite in modo impegnativo con giovani barbatelle. <\/em><\/p>\n

Im Fr\u00fchling kam auch noch Sp\u00e4tfrost dazu. Ein fr\u00fcher Austrieb gekoppelt mit einem Kaltlufteinbruch aus dem Norden brachte die zarten gr\u00fcnen Triebe in starke Bedr\u00e4ngnis. Im Oberfeld, unser nomalerweise k\u00e4ltester Ort, half die dort noch vom vorigen Apfelanbau herr\u00fchrende \u00dcberkronenbew\u00e4sserung, das Schlimmste abzuwenden. Den Guyot-St\u00f6cken am Ogeaner wurde hingegen ihre Bodenn\u00e4he zum Verh\u00e4ngnis. W\u00e4hrend die Pergeln daneben keine Sch\u00e4den aufwiesen, erntete ich bei ersteren ein Viertel eines normalen Ertrages.<\/p>\n

In primavera si sono aggiunto a ci\u00f2 le gelate tardive. Il germogliamento precoce assieme a correnti gelide del nord ha messo in evidenza la suscetibilit\u00e0 al freddo dei giovani germogli.  Nel vigneto Oberfeld, di consuetudine il posto pi\u00f9 freddo dell’azienda, ha aiutato l’impianto irriguo ad aspersione, fino a quindici anni fa era infatti un meleto, a limitare i danni. Per i ceppi di Chardonnay allevati a Guyot dell’Ogeaner invece la vicinanza dei tralci al terreno era micidiale. Mentre le pergole accanto non evidenziavano danni, nell’impianto a spalliera i germogli bruciati dal gelo erano cos\u00ec tanti da produrre solo un quarto di un raccolto normale.<\/em><\/p>\n

Die Erdraupen, bei uns Rugatten genannt, waren ein weiterer Nadelstich im Jahreslauf. Um einer gezielten chemischen Bek\u00e4mpfung werden wir zumindest in den n\u00e4chsten Jahren nicht herumkommen, nachdem das n\u00e4chtliche Einsammeln extrem arbeitsaufwendig ist und auch nicht die erhofften Ergebnisse gebracht hat. Im Sommer fielen n\u00e4mlich immer wieder St\u00f6cke auf, wo die traubentragenden Haupttriebe fehlten. Diese gefr\u00e4\u00dfigen nachtaktiven Raupen treten momentan in Gebieten auf, wo sie noch nie negativ aufgefallen sind. <\/p>\n

Le nottue poi hanno costituito un ulteriore punzecchiatura. Temo di dover cominciare a combatterle con un trattamento specifico, in quanto a raccoglierle notte per notte a mano \u00e8 molto impegnativo e non \u00e8 servito a molto. Infatti in estate si vedevano diverse viti dove mancavano i tralci principali, cio\u00e8 gli unici che sono fruttiferi. Queste larve voraci, che risalgono i ceppi di notte, sono apparse ultimamente in zone dove non si erano mai viste prima.<\/i><\/p>\n

Ein sp\u00e4ter Peronosporabefall, der in der ganzen Gegend das Laub massiv gesch\u00e4digt hat, gl\u00fccklicherweise aber zu sp\u00e4t aufgetreten ist, um die wichtigeren Trauben zu infizieren, hat uns wieder einmal die Grenzen des Pflanzenschutzes aufgezeigt. Wobei ich immer mehr den Eindruck habe, dass die Ursachen f\u00fcr das Versagen der PSM in diesen extremen F\u00e4llen eher in einer ungen\u00fcgenden Applikationstechnik zu suchen sind. Die sommerliche D\u00fcrre, welche in weiten Gegenden Europas f\u00fcr gro\u00dfe Probleme gesorgt hat, hat hier zum Gl\u00fcck keinen Schaden angerichtet.<\/p>\n

Un attacco tardivo di peronospora che in tutta la zona ha danneggiato in modo massiccio le foglie ma per fortuna ha lasciato indenne i grappoli, ha evidenziato un altra volta i limiti della lotta anticrittogamica. Ho sempre di pi\u00f9 l’impressione che le cause di attacchi cos\u00ec deleteri sia da ricercare pi\u00f9 in tecniche di applicazione insufficienti che nell’inefficacia dei prodotti stessi. La grande siccit\u00e0 che in altre zone d’Europa ha causato danni ingenti da noi invece non ha dato problemi.<\/em><\/p>\n

Den gr\u00f6\u00dften Einschnitt im Produktionsjahr 2017 stellten aber die Hagelschl\u00e4ge vom 9. und 10. August dar. Auch mein inzwischen fast 90j\u00e4hriger Vater wei\u00df nichts von einem Hagelsturm, der so stark war, so ein gro\u00dfes Gebiet gleichzeitig betroffen hat und mehrmals hintereinander am gleichen Tag die schadbringende Ladung niedergehen hat lassen. Es sah furchtbar aus, die Moral war am Boden! Manchmal habe ich schon gedacht, dass heuer eigentlich nur mehr die biblischen Heuschrecken fehlten.<\/p>\n

Il momento pi\u00f9 cruciale dell’anno era costituito dalle grandinate del 9 e 10 agosto. Mio padre che si avvicina ai 90 anni non si ricorda una tempesta cos\u00ec forte, che ha colpito una zona cos\u00ec vasta e che ha rilasciato pi\u00f9 volte in due giorni la sua carica deleteria. I vigneti dopo erano terribili da vedere, la morale era per terra! Pi\u00f9 volte quest’anno mi \u00e8 venuto in mente che mancavano solo le cavallette bibliche…<\/em><\/p>\n

Ein sch\u00f6ner Herbst und eine aufmerksame Lese konnten die Qualit\u00e4t des Jahrgangs retten, mengenm\u00e4\u00dfig m\u00fcssen wir im Betrieb aber insgesamt auf mehr als ein Drittel verzichten. Die Trinker unserer Weine wird der Werdegang des 2017ers bestenfalls interessieren, es betrifft sie aber nicht wirklich. Wie immer sorgen n\u00e4mlich die verantwortungsvollen Produzenten unter uns, dass ein schwieriges Jahr f\u00fcr den Winzer trotzdem zu einem m\u00f6glichst guten Jahrgang im Glas f\u00fchrt. 2014 hat bewiesen, dass das funktioniert. Erinnert ihr Euch noch?<\/p>\n

L’autunno bellissimo e la vendemmia accurata hanno salvato l’annata dal punto di vista qualitativo. Circa la quantit\u00e0 dobbiamo invece rinunciare a pi\u00f9 di un terzo. Nel migliore dei casi il consumatore si interessa del decorso dell’annata, ma non lo riguarda veramente. Infatti come sempre i produttori coscienti tra di noi hanno fatto s\u00ec che l’annata difficile non sia percepibile da chi alla fine beve il vino. Il 2014 ha dimostrato che ci\u00f2 funziona.
