Wenn man am Ende eines Weinkostwettbewerbes die Jurymitglieder fragt, was sie vom Siegerwein halten, dann werden die wenigsten sich mit diesem vollends identifizieren. Diese Erfahrung habe ich fast immer nach den von mir organisierten Verkostungen gemacht. Anf\u00e4nglich bin ich dar\u00fcber sehr erschrocken und habe vorsichtshalber die Auswertung wiederholt, Fehler konnte ich zum Gl\u00fcck aber keine finden. Der Grund dieser Unzufriedenheit liegt aber woanders: fragt man n\u00e4mlich die Koster, welchen Wein sie favorisieren, dann bekommt man oft fast so viele Antworten, wie es Mitglieder der Kommission gibt.<\/p>\n

Chiedendo alla fine di un concorso enologico ai membri della giuria cosa ne pensino del vincitore, solo pochissimi si identificheranno con lui. Questa esperienza l’ho fatta quasi sempre negli ormai numerosi concorsi che ho organizzato. Le prime volte mi sono spaventato molto e per sicurezza ho rifatto tutti i calcoli. La causa di questo disagio si trova per\u00f2 altrove: se ai giudici si chiede, quale vino secondo loro abbia meritato di vincere, si ottengono un numero di risposte differenti che si avvicina spesso al numero di membri della comissione.<\/em><\/p>\n

Das Kosterverhalten ist heute stark individualisiert. Das allgemein hohe technische Niveau der Weine l\u00e4sst die Rolle der Typizit\u00e4t und der Stilistik stark hervortreten. Und die Bewertung dieser Parameter, besonders des letzteren, ist stark subjektiv gepr\u00e4gt. In der ersten Grafik ist das Kosterverhalten im Finale eines Sortenwettbewerbs dargestellt. Wie man leicht erkennen kann, ist der Siegerwein nicht Everybody’s Darling: Von den 14 ber\u00fccksichtigten Kostern gaben nur einer ganz klar ihm die H\u00f6chstnote. Ein gutes aber nicht unbedingt exzellentes Abschneiden bei allen Kostern und ja (fast) kein Absturz in der Gunst ist die typische Voraussetzung f\u00fcr Siegerweine.<\/p>\n

\"grafik1\"<\/a>L’atteggiamento dei degustatori oggi \u00e8 caratterizzato da una forte individualismo. L’alto livello tecnico dei vini odierni \u00a0risalta il ruolo della tipicit\u00e0 e dello stile dei vini. E la valutazione di questi parametri, soprattutto dell’ultimo \u00e8 molto soggettivo. Nel primo grafico \u00e8 raffigurato il comportamento dei degustatori in una finale di un concorso enologico incentrato su un vitigno. Come si pu\u00f2 vedere facilmente, il vino vincitore (numero 1) non \u00e8 il preferito dell’intero panel. Al contrario, dei 14 giudici considerati , solo uno lo mette al primo posto della sua classifica. Un risultato buono, non necessariamente eccellente presso tutti i giudici e (quasi) nessuna bastonata da qualcuno di loro sono i presupposti per vincere.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Auch die Kostergebnisse von Paris (zweite Grafik) zeigen einen \u00e4hnlichen Sachverhalt. Den\u00a0Stag\u2019s Leap Wine Cellars 1973<\/em> hatte nur einer der neun Koster als ganz klar besten seiner Serie benotet. Die franz\u00f6sischen Koster f\u00fchlten sich bekannterweise in ihrer Ehre stark verletzt, weil mit dieser Niederlage im Kostglas\u00a0anscheinend\u00a0gegen ein Naturgesetz versto\u00dfen wurde. Verst\u00e4rkt wurde dieses Befinden sicherlich durch die oben angef\u00fchrten Sachverhalte: ein Amerikaner gewann, obwohl sieben von neun Kostern ihm franz\u00f6sische Weine\u00a0vorzogen oder ihm maximal die gleiche Punktezahl gegeben hatten. Aber die Mathematik ist keine Meinung und ihre Ergebnisse kollidieren des \u00f6fteren mit dem Empfinden. Am Beispiel der Weinkosten wird dies besonders deutlich.<\/p>\n

Anche i risultati di Parigi evidenziano gli stessi fatti. Lo\u00a0<\/em>Stag\u2019s Leap Wine Cellars 1973\u00a0\u00e8 stato valutato solo da un degustatore come chiaramente il migliore della sua serie. Ci ricordiamo che i giudici francesi si sono sentiti offesi dopo la disfatta organolettica che sembrava aver infranto una legge della natura. Questa perplessit\u00e0 \u00e8 stata rafforzata sicuramente dai fatti descritti prima: ha vinto un vino americano, nonostante che sette degustatori su nove gli hanno preferito un francese o gli hanno dato al massimo un punteggio uguale a quello transalpino. Ma la matematica non \u00e8 un’opinione ed i suoi risultati si scontrano sovente con le sensazioni.
